The Elements

Body

"MOVE IT"

MOVE MORE, EAT LESS, DRINK WATER!

The body is the home of the mind, emotions, and spirit and requires consistent, but minimal maintenance.

Mental

"USE IT"

READ, WRITE, PONDER!

Education is your life-long endeavor.

Spiritual

"FIND IT"

LEARN, ACT, TEACH!

Spiritual strength comes from understanding doctrine, prayer, scripture study, and worthy living.

Social/Emotional

"RESPECT IT"

LISTEN, HONOR, RESPECT!

Your own social and emotional strength comes from being sensitive to the needs of those around you.

The Method

Balance We balance all 4 Elements every day.

Progress We record our work and thoughts in our journals.

Perspective We live in the moment, where we are, where we’ve been. and knowing where we are going.

Repetition We repeat all four elements every day.

Repetition is the Father of action, the Mother of learning and the Architect of accomplishments.

My Refocus Workshop Journal

I thought I would share with you a draft page of my Refocus Travel Workshop book. This has grown out of what has worked in my own life's battles.
Each page has a quote I like, a quote I wrote, a fact and my tips on how to develop your Body, Mind, Spirit and Emotions. I would love to hear your thoughts comments.
Daily Quote: “I think in terms of the day's resolutions, not the year’s.” Henry Moore

Body: Buy a pedometer. A pedometer keeps track of how many steps you take daily. Wear it every day, around home, work, and while exercising.

Your goal is to increase your steps to 10,000 or more daily!

Mind: Get enough sleep, eat regular, balanced meals and take time for relaxation. It’s important for emotional and mental health. Sleep impacts many of the chemicals in your body, including serotonin. People with a deficiency in serotonin are more likely to suffer from depression. You can help to prevent depression by making sure you are getting the right amount of sleep, between 7 to 9 hours each night

Spirit: Change is a fearful thought for many people. Research has shown that change is a learning opportunity that exercises our brain and keeps us sharp. So change your route to work or reorganize your workspace. Both will help your brain wake up from old habits and pay attention again. Keep in mind that fear and excitement are the same energy. News flash! Change means you will need to do new and different things… That’s real change.

Emotional: Your life is your responsibility. The 1st step in your character development is being trustworthy. This means that you tell the truth. You are honest and you keep your promises. In short, those in your circle of influence can depend on you. A trustworthy reputation is important now and for the future. This reputation will help you make and maintain good relationships. They will know that they can rely on you to do your best in every situation. Of course, there will be times when your judgment fails and you make mistakes. Now and then this happens to everyone but if you quickly admit your error and do all that you can do to correct the situation, others will be quick to move on. By learning from your mistakes, you will do better in the future. Please develop trust in yourself. You know when you have done right and when you have done wrong. Living this way, you can respect yourself and others will respect you too. .

Day Fact: You control three things, your thoughts, your words, and your deeds.

DWP Quote: “Time is made through organization.”

8 Absolute Laws

To resist brings harm… To embrace brings harmony
Absolute laws are laws or actions that are pure, constant, and always in effect. A natural example is the law of gravity. Believe in it or not it is still in force.

I have found as have thousan
ds before me that the sooner I obey these laws the simpler my live got. How does your thinking and beliefs align with them?

1. Power: There is a power greater then man.

2. Freedom: You choose to do whatever you like, but you don’t get to choose the results of your choices.

3. Control: You control your thoughts, your words, and your deeds

4. Action: You will act or be acted upon.

5. Reset: You can always reset your thinking, your words, your deeds, your life.

6. Harvest: You reap what you sow.

7. Change: Change is constant.

8. Connectivity: Everything is connected to everything.

9 Top Tips to help you make the decisions

1. Sometimes you have to think on your feet so be prepared.

2. Work out the pro's and con's of each outcome.

3. Ask yourself if I don't make a decision now what could that result in?

4. You need to act upon that decision. Without action what good is the decision in itself?

5. Get advice from only trusted sources who have the same values and beliefs as you do. Don't fall victim to asking everyone.

6. Don't make rash decisions, look at your history. How and what made you make your best decisions in your life?

7. Ask yourself why are you REALLY putting off making a decision?

8. Listen to your instinct, if you find you are telling yourself all the reasons why it won't work out this can often be driven by fear. In comparison having to convince and justify why you should, could result in the wrong decision that you look back and 'knew' deep down it was wrong.

9. Remember sometimes the decision itself isn't as important than actually just making one.

What are your best decision making techniques? I need one more to make it 10 top tips.

Thanx David
